POPPY- the Flower of Remembrance
11th November

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
(John Macrae May 1915)

  1. Oh Kerry, this is gorgeous, and I love that poem....so perfect for us to remember those who came before us, and gave up their lives

  3. Such a beautiful flower, but sad association. I saw poppies blooming in Belgium back in May and the poem is exactly what I thought of. Nice collection.
